Rosalie's First Birthday Party

Rosalie's Big 1st Birthday Party was this last Saturday, and we had so much fun! Rosalie loved seeing all of her friends, opening her gifts, and getting all sorts of attention. She was a bit iffy on the whole cake situation at first, but we will get into that later. I keep saying this over and over, but how is my baby 1?! I guess I will just have to accept it now that she has had her birthday and her party :(

But moving on...I was able to have Rosalie's party at our church building a couple minutes from our apartment so it worked out really well! We just went over a bit early to set up, and my dad and brothers entertained Rosalie while Chanse ran errands for me and my mom, sister, and I decorated :)

I just love her sweet blue eyes in this picture :)
Here is as picture of Rosalie's little smash cake. It has cupcakes all around it in this picture, but we obviously removed them before giving it to her.
Yes I did make a poster asking if Rosalie looked more like me or Chanse. I bet you can't guess who won? ;)
My mom decorated the table and whiteboard for me. She did an awesome job and I appreciated her help so much! We served two different kinds of chili, all sorts of toppings, chips, veggies, and fruit.

Here is Rosalie's present table before the party started :)
My sister did an awesome job of decorating Rosalie's high chair for me! Thanks Court!!
My beautiful sis! Bet you can't tell that she is 17 weeks pregnant! She looks amazing!!
Rosalie with Chanse's sister Amy, and her two girls Brinley and Elise. We were so happy that they came!! Chanse's other sister Angela came with her kids, and we loved seeing them as well!
Here is Rosalie opening some of her gifts....

So about the cake.....Rosalie didn't do so well at first.

But after warming up a bit, she got better...

And then she got it all over her hand and got mad again, so I took her out of her highchair for a bit to calm her down. She loved licking the frosting off of my fingers.
My mom handed her a spoon to eat the cake with and she was finally calm enough for me to put her back in her highchair.

She loved it once she actually dug in!

We had a lot of our awesome friends and family come to celebrate with us, and we were so happy! Rosalie loved seeing her friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and we felt very blessed to have so many awesome people in our lives! :)

As Chanse would say, Rosalie "made out like a bandit" at her little party, and got so many awesome gifts!! We piled some of them in front of her when we got home and she dug right in, playing with as many of them as she could :)

We love our precious little 1 year old so much, and we are so happy that we got to spend last Saturday celebrating her! :)
