I Just Can't Stay Home

I don't know what has been with me the last few days, but I just can't stay home. I go stir crazy, and I feel like I am trapped. It has been too cold to take Rosalie outside these last couple days, so we have just been shopping. Rosalie has needed some new outfits (she's growing out of everything!), and I always "need" some type of grocery item.

I had to bundle her up because it was so cold!
So I decided to switch to a backpack from a diaper bag a couple of weeks ago, and I really like it. I like that I can just stick it on my back and carry it around, rather than having to slip it over my shoulder and worry about it falling off. Since I live in an apartment, I have to walk quite a ways from my car to my apartment, so anything to make it easier is worth it for me. Oh, and I like that it is deeper than most diaper bags. I got it from Wal-Mart, and you find it online here
Lately Rosebud has been back at practicing her horrible napping skills ;). Poor girl just doesn't need sleep sometimes. Every time I try to put her in her little bed during the day, she immediately wakes up and starts screaming. So I have resorted to putting her in her little swing. It is the only way that I can get her to nap for any length of time, and she sleeps pretty soundly, so I will take what I can get.

Sorry they are blurry, the swing was moving.

I was just looking at how cute and chunky her little fingers were and I had to take a picture. Also I love her little painted nails. Girls are so fun!
She woke up bright and early yesterday morning, and was pretty happy about it :) I can't say I felt the same at first...but her smile warmed me up pretty fast ;)
Rosalie loves when I read to her! She loves to listen to my voice (probably because I try to sound super animated ha), and she loves looking at the pictures and touching the books. "Five Little Monkeys" was one of my favorite books when I was a little girl, so I knew that I had to get it for her when I found it at T.J. Maxx.
She is such a trooper going all over the place with me, and I am so grateful. She is super good in her carseat now, and she just plays with her toys and talks.
And here are some fun pictures that I have taken over the last couple of weeks :)
And a quote I totally love right now:
Have a wonderful Wednesday. Oh and be sure to watch the CMAs tonight on ABC if you are country music fan! I love watching Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley host!!!

  2. So cute and I saw that bag the other day and thought then that it would make a great diaper bag. I might need to change too. Church has become a real hassle because I keep lugging around 2 shoulder bags AND my baby. I feel like an ox!!

    1. Yes, too many bags at church makes it soooo difficult! Plus it is great when I have grocery bags :)
