Happy Friday Everyone!
So I don't know much when it comes to beauty and makeup, but I love trying new things out and seeing how they work for me. I have been following a blog called Maskcara for a while now, and she always has awesome tips on hair and makeup. Well, she recently posted a do-it-yourself hair repair treatment, so I thought I would try it out! You can find her original post HERE.
Her "recipe" if you will, calls for one avocado, one egg, 3 TBS olive oil, and 1 TBS honey. When its all mixed together it looks like this. Appetizing right? ;)
So then you take your mask and just work it through your hair. It was kind of thick and hard to spread, but I started at the ends of my hair and got the job done. I twisted my hair in a knot at the top of my head and kept it in for 15 minutes (this is what she recommended).
I realized after I had the mask in my hair that I probably should've taken a before picture...oops! Here is a picture of what my hair looked like after, once it was all dry. My hair felt pretty much the same when it was wet, but as soon as it was dry I could tell that it did feel like it had more moisture and was shinier. The only downside was that it stunk really bad, I mean bad ha. If I do it again I will definitely add some vanilla or something to help with the smell. And on another hair note I am still trying to debate whether or not I should cut my hair or grow it out! Oh dear the things I worry about sometimes ;)
So now that I have shown you some pretty unappetizing pictures, I thought I would show you my lunch. It was very good and very easy. I just threw some spinach, grilled chicken, tomatoes, and some cheese together for a salad. Yum! I used some yogurt ranch dressing that I recently got from Smiths, and a little bit of Wingers sauce (I just buy the bottles from Wingers :)!). The combination of the two is super good, and I highly recommend trying out the yogurt dressing!
Last night Chanse, Rose, and I went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant with Chanse's brother and sister-in-law, and we loved it! I am all for trying new restaurants, so I was excited to go to this one. I am also the type of person who would eat at a restaurant every night if I could (I know this is terrible, but it's true). Chanse ordered the chili rellenos and I ordered a pork taco salad! We both loved what we ordered, but I of course forgot to take pictures until our food was basically gone :(
Rose was a good girl just chillin in her carseat while we ate. Sadly this didn't last as you will see when you scroll down haha
We had grand plans of going to our nephew's baseball game after dinner, but sadly Rose decided to do this instead...
She was not one bit happy so we decided to go home with our screaming child haha. Good thing she's so stinkin cute ;)
I hope you all have a great Friday!
What are your plans?
What is your favorite sport to watch? (mine is probably basketball)
