Zuppa Toscana Olive Garden Copy Cat Recipe

I made a Zuppa Toscana soup recipe for Chanse last night, and he absolutely loved it! I thought it was pretty good too, so I wanted to share it with you! However, I forgot to take pictures of the ingredients or the process of making it, so all I have is a picture of the actual soup ha. It is super easy to make though, and I don't think you'll have any problems :)

Ingredients:
4 potatoes
2 cups heavy whipping cream
3 cans chicken broth OR 5 1/4 cups chicken broth (I made my own so you add 1 tsp chicken bouillon to one cup of water)
1 to 2 cups kale
1 lb mild Italian sausage
salt, pepper, garlic salt, and red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions: I cooked the sausage in a pan before handed until it was done. I also had Chanse cut up the potatoes into thin slices and the kale into small pieces (what a good hubby I have :)!). I then added all of the ingredients into the crockpot at one time and turned it on high for about 3.5 hours.

Verdict: I loved the broth more than just about anything, and I thought that the kale had really good flavor! Chanse said that this may be his new favorite soup as well! I will definitely be making this again, but next time I am going to add about 1/3 of an onion and some real bacon bits or real bacon. Obviously this soup isn't super good for you, but it sure tasted good, and it is fun to have every once and a while :) Plus it cost a lot less than Olive Garden would've! ;)
