Some Recent Photos And A House Full Of Sickies

First of all, I love blogging. There is just something about it that I think is so awesome. I love the blogging community and everything that comes along with it. I have tried different types of blogging, and found that I honestly love them all. I love fashion blogging and think that it is fun to show off outfits that are cute and affordable, I love blogging about being a mom, about being pregnant, and about my family in general. So with that being said, one day I may find a specific niche, but for now I am just going to blog about whatever feels right at the moment. I just wanted to say thank you for following along and I'd love to hear about any posts that you'd like to see. :)

I took this picture after we were all packed up and on our way home from Vernal a couple of weeks ago. Rosalie was oh so snuggled up in her carseat with all of our luggage and laundry surrounding her. She was one happy girl though because she had her blankie, her milk, snacks, and she was watching Frozen on the iPad. :)
I went to pick Rosalie up from the gym daycare the other day and this is what I found. Her latest obsession is ponies so I wasn't too surprised, but I did think it was the cutest thing I had ever seen. :)
I love how she had them all lined up ha!
We went to J-Dawgs the other day by BYU and Rosalie loved running around and playing. I even got a few poses out of her. ;) If you haven't been to J-Dawgs you need to go! The sauce that they put on their hot dogs is amazing and the polish dog has the perfect combo of flavor and spice!

Another one of Rosalie's obsessions is Princess Sofia. It's a Disney Junior show for those of you who don't have to spend every waking moment of your day watching it. ;) She got quite a few Princess Sofia themed things for Christmas and loves telling me the names of all of the characters. Seriously she is so smart! This was her first night wearing her new nightgown and she was loving it!
I took Rosalie to ride one of the fun cars at Walmart and she had a great time. :) This is what she did when I asked her to smile ha. It is like her new smile/scowl face and it is my favorite.

This next picture is a bit gross, so I wanted to give you fair warning before you scroll......

I have been having some bad problems with blisters on this particular foot and after a 6 mile run (more like a jog for this pregnant girl ha), this is what I found. I thought I was just being a wimp, but when I took off my shoe and saw blood I knew that I wasn't quite as wimpy as I'd imagined ha. I said this in my last post, but I would love running sock recommendations, wrapping recommendations, anything that will help! And yes those are new small blisters trailing up my foot. :(
Chanse and I took Rosalie to the pool on Saturday and she had a blast. The Provo Recreation Center has an awesome indoor pool, and she loved the slide and the lazy river. I am kind OCD when it comes to the water because I am so scared of her drowning, but we had a good time and she smiled a whole lot. Sadly, I think that is what made her sick though because her cough flared up that night, she got a fever, and her nose started running like a faucet. My poor girl seriously can't catch a break in the winter. :(

Chanse then got sick on Sunday after Sacrament and both of them have been sick ever since, so we have had a lot of rest time at our house. Monday I just stayed home and took care of them, but today I was able to get out of the house for a bit and go to the gym (while Daddy and Rose watched Sofia the First), and it was much needed! Those endorphins were amazing! I did feel a bit nauseous though so here's to hoping I am not getting sick too! :/
If you are wondering why I look like I haven't slept or put on makeup for days it's because I haven't. You're welcome for sharing ;)
Oh and apparently I haven't changed my sweater either haha! She loves me even if she won't smile for pictures. ;)
I read this poem from the Ensign the other day and posted it to my Instagram, but I wanted to post it here as well because I love it so much.

"Sleeping soundly, so unaware, so peaceful, soft, without a care. I pray each night you're safe and warm from every day's encircling storm. Some say this is no place to raise a child, so small, so pure, so meek, so mild. But me, I tend to disagree... this child, it seems, is raising me."

I am writing this on Tuesday, so I am hoping by tomorrow both Chanse and Rosalie will be feeling 100% again. When the people you love are sick it is the worst. :( Have a wonderful Wednesday and try not to get sick. :)

And here is a cute video of Rosalie for your viewing pleasure. She was talking to her Daddy. :)

P.S. For any of you looking for a great show to watch, might I recommend Friday Night Lights. I am at the end of Season 4 and still loving it! Also I'd like recommendations for new shows since I only have one more season to go. :) Please and thank you!

  1. I think it's so wonderful that you just write whatever feel is right. I'm there right now, as well. I thought to myself long and hard about what my niche would be, but I couldn't just pick one... because blogging is my creative outlet, a journal (if you will) of bits and pieces of my life I want to share. So HIGH FIVE to you! I'm glad to have found someone that feels the same way that I do in that regard.
Sending get well wishes to Chanse and Rosalie!

  2. Pick up something for chafing! Chafing gel, deodorant, corn starch, and rub it in places prone to blisters. Also, make sure you have the right fit shoes and proper insoles.

  7. Do not let anyone tell you what to write about. It is your blog, therefore, it is up to you what you blog about! Rosalie's so cute in these photos.
