Tender Mercies

Yesterday was one of those days where I felt so grateful for the tender mercies in my life. I sat Rosalie down on the floor to play so that I could get to work, but she wasn't having it. She immediately started screaming, and would not stop. I was stressed because I had to get some work done before 11 am, and I knew that wasn't going to happen if she kept screaming at me. I tried to pick her up and set her by me on the couch, but that didn't work either. She was still upset, and I could see that she was overly tired (she hadn't slept very good the night before). I decided to try and rock her to sleep, and thankfully she was out in about 10 minutes. I then carefully slid my arm out from under her, slowly leaned forward to grab my laptop off of the coffee table, and I got to work. Rosalie ended up sleeping for over 2 hours on my lap while I worked, and I was so grateful! It really was such a tender mercy for me to be able to get all of my work done, and I loved being able to watch my sweet baby girl sleep. I wanted to take the time to write this down so I wouldn't forget how blessed I am, even when it comes to small and simple things in my life. I'm so grateful for a Heavenly Father who knows me, loves me, and is aware of all of my needs. :)
Awake and happy after her long nap :)
What tender mercies have you seen in your own life?

xoxo

  2. What a precious moment. I always try to soak up the time right before I lie Belle down for the night. She is usually nuzzled against my neck asleep and I just want to drink her up!
