Our Fourth of July Weekend

I was so excited for Rosalie to celebrate her first 4th of July this year, and it was such a great day! I am so proud to be an American, and I want Rosalie to be as well. We truly are the home of the free, because of the brave. I am so grateful for our troops!
We went to the 4th of July parade in Vernal in the morning, and Rose was as happy as can be. The parade itself was pretty lackluster, and we were a bit disappointed. It was a good memory though, and I am glad that we took Rosalie. Nana held Rose for pretty much the whole parade, and Rosalie was loving it.
About halfway through the parade little Rose got tired, and decided that parades were overrated. She took a good long nap until we left ha!
After the parade we went fishing. I will have more pictures of our little fishing trip tomorrow, but I just wanted to post a picture because it was such a beautiful day and the scenery was amazing!
Rose was so good on the car ride home, and she really does just keep getting better and better in her carseat. She is such a happy little thing, and it is impossible to be in a bad mood when she is around. Babies come straight from Heaven, and they bring so much joy :)
Saturday was the big day for my mom and me to open our little shop at the Ashley Valley Farmers Market to sell our bows. It wasn't super busy since it was the 4th of July weekend, but we had a great time chatting with and selling bows to the people that did come :)
Rose was our little bow model, and everyone who came by commented on how cute she was. I feel like such a proud mama when people tell me my child is cute :)
Rose was quite the bow model
The long morning of selling bows finally wore her out though, and she needed her beauty sleep. She is starting to nap for longer periods of time now and I am so grateful. For the first 4 months and 3 weeks of her life she didn't know what a nap was ha. She still isn't an incredible napper, but every little bit counts, and I am so grateful :)
It has been such a good weekend so far, and I'm glad that I get one more day at home with my hubby before he has to go back to work :) Have a wonderful Sunday!

xoxo

  1. Oh my goodness - so cute!!

I have a 2 year old boy - he doesn't like to wear bows. Although sometimes he wears my Lululemon headbands and calls himself a pirate.....

  2. Good luck with your bow business, but with that model you don't need luck - she's got you covered!
    Have a great week.

  4. I love the way you described the parade-lackluster-I'm dying lol!! It's so true...Vernal's parades are pitiful, i'd rather watch the little kids dragging the coolers of water & otter pops.
Rose is, of course, the cutest little princess i've ever seen & all those bows only add to her immense cuteness. I'm glad the bow business was a success. You & mom won't be able to keep up by the time the summer is over!!
I'm excited to read about your fishing trip :)
